Petzold’s new film finally made it to my little town and, big Petzold fan that I am, I went to go see it asap. I’m including the trailer (above) and the interview he did in New York for the opening (below). But I hesitate to tell you anything about the film – because it’d ruin the films biggest shock (which happens in the first 30 seconds).

The one thing I think it’s probably okay to tell you, if you haven’t seen the film yet – is that if you’ve made it through at least a few seasons of French Village – regardless of whether or not you’re a history buff – there’s an extra buzz in it for you.

Another thing you’ll want to do, if you haven’t already – before or after I don’t know but in one take – is take in 2015’s Victoria (starring Transit’s male lead in a supporting role).
